District Industries
centre, Thanjavur is the Institution at district level, which provides
all the services and support facilities to the entrepreneurs for setting
up of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises . This Includes identification
of viable projects, preparation of feasibility reports, arrangement
of credit facilities, machineries and equipments, provision of raw materials
and extension services.
District Industries centre, Thanjavur is committed to redress the grievances of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with persistent follow-up with various line departments/ agencies /organizations and grievance redressal forums.
The functionaries of DIC, Thanjavur comprises of a General Manager, Two functional managers to assist him, Three Industrial Co-operative
officers, Two Assistant / Junior Engineers, Survey and Statistical Inspectors and Investigators and ministerial staff.
ACTIVITIES OF DISTRICT INDUSTRIES CENTRE, THANJAVUR.
• Identification of viable Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise projects and Potential Entrepreneurs.
• Issue of acknowledgement for filing Entrepreneur Memorandum (EM ) Part I and Part II to avail the various benefits and incentives offered by The Tamilnadu Government and Government of India.
• Implementation of various incentive schemes with the objective of promoting rural economy, rural employment and balanced industrial development.
• Facilitation of recovery of delayed payment to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as per Government of India Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise(MSME) Act 2006.
• Identification / Selection / recommendation of proposals conducting task force committee meeting and follow up work up the establishment of enterprises under PMEGP.
• Identification and rehabilitation of sick Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
• Conducting motivation camps at colleges and panchayat union offices.
• It is the nodal agency for implementation of Single Window Scheme to assist the entrepreneur to obtain clearances, plan approval from various departments and to obtain licenses from the local body.
• Export Guidance
• Promoting the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through establishment of Industrial Co-operative societies in various trades and monitoring the same continuously with aim to offer continuous and gainful employment to artisans and small entrepreneurs.
• Conducting the seminars, Workshops etc for the betterment of Industrialists.
